§ 98-5. Penalties for offenses.

If any person shall violate the provisions of this chapter, said person shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $250 for a first offense; a fine of not less than $250 nor more than $500 for a second offense; a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1,000 for a third offense; a fine of not less than $2,000 nor more than $2,500, for any subsequent offenses. In addition to specified fines, violators are subject to imprisonment for up to 15 days.
